Gay vs. Queer

I like Gay Porn. Don’t get me wrong. But this blog will be about gay films not porn. It seems like any google search with the words Gay Movie brings back mostly porn. I didn’t see a problem with this, until I wanted to find a gay film… for real this time. No gay film in particular, just a gay film. Well to be clear a lesbian film. Search Lesbian and Film and you get a few lesbian film hits. Not porn. So here’s what I learned 1) search Gay and you get Porn. 2) search Queer or Lesbian and you get what you ask for. Does this mean gays are slutty and queers are not? What is the difference. I would say I’m gay, well a lesbian… which a gay man cannot be, yet makes a lesbian a gay and a queer and more interesting. Nevermind. I answered my own question. So anyhoo, I will try to start talking about queer films in future posts. I implore you to let me catch my bearings for the first few posts. I haven’t decided how I want to represent myself yet. Gay or Lesbian. Queer or Lesbian. Gay or Queer. I thought they were the same things, but I guess I’m not. I’m leaning toward Queer. I heard Gays are slutty. I like sluts. Don’t get me wrong. But this blog will be about films. Not sluts. Now that we are all straight… or homos, It’ll be what it is and you’ll like it. Because 1) I’m a terribly unfunny film geek and 2) Gays will support anything Gay. So I have a built in audience of sluts. I win.
